G'day All,
Yes it has that hallmark, it wouldn't be a real Land Rover without it LOL, you have to keep some of the dent's/dints to give a bit of character.
I moved 113-372 all of approx 60' today under it's power, albeit low range, as the engine was just a tad over idle speed, throttle not connected as yet, I'm still hopefull that I will be able to paint it one day through next week, the clip,,.

fingers XXXX'd for fine weather:cool:, anyway cheers Dennis:angel:
ps I have just spent a frustrating few hours trying to get the gap correct for the tailgate. Ian, I have a strap, just need to get a loop sewn in, either that or I will fit it with 4 rivets n washers etc,,.
What's that rubber thingy under the tail gate?
Is it for keeping something in or keeping something out?
G'day All,
It's just the lower tailgate seal, only available in the UK, cheers Dennis:angel:
He must have another prehensile appendage.
G'day All,
In between posting here, putting 2 loads of washing on the line for swmbo;):p, I managed to splash on some DBG, here is the underside of the bonnet

it also might need doing again as I think I could see a run in the paint!!, anyway this is how I summed up my work this morning;
Amatuer scale<<>> 89%
Pro scale<<>>41% but I'm reasonably happy with them, so I don't really care LOL;):p:D:D cheers Dennis:angel:
ps nervously watching the weather, as I cannot move these items, they are still tacky, and will be for some time yet,,.:(
G'day All,
The tub got it's top coat of DBG today as well, I started with the inside and worked my way out, then the outside,

I knocked off to have early lunch, and was heading back outside when I noticed spots on the garage roller door RAIN!!!!!!!!!!:o :(:(:mad::mad:, I could zip/zero about the panels sitting out in the yard so I grabbed all the nearly dry washing off the line first.
I then went and checked the tub on 113-372, it wasn't getting any spots, but I removed the wheel chock and moved it further into the carport.
I'm hoping that the spots of rain won't damage the paint, it has had almost 2 1/2 hrs to dry, it was only just tacky, well if I have to redo them so be it:(:(, this is the longest time I have spent doing a restoration on any of my projects (started this in Jan 2010) nearly 2 years:o, anyway fingers XXXXX'd with the panels, cheers Dennis:angel:
G'day All,
well my worst fears have come to light, all 4 items will need to be repainted, they all have small marks from the water droplets, I suspect just a light rub back with wet n dry paper (the finest grit I can get) and repeat the operation all over again:(:( cheers Dennis:(
ps here is the result of the rain;
