    Hi Dennis

Have a look under the rubber back of your indicator light fittings, dust and moisture make a conductive brew and will need a bit of soapy water and a brush to fix it.

If that's not it, then use a couple of clip leads and a headlight bulb across the fuse clips to fault find, if the fault reappears, the light bulb glows instead of blowing another fuse.

    Gremlins

    G'day All,
Another day, very foggy outside, hmmm, just like the inside of my head LOL.
I am running out of glass fuses so I will try your idea using a 'test light, I will also remove the Blackout switch panel & map light panel, they were the 2 last items to be fitted before this problem started, it was fine up until then, anyway it's just after 0700hrs here and we have interstate visitors, so I will have to wait for them to wake before starting anything, fingers XXXX,d cheers Dennis

    All working again.

    G'day All,
After spending quite a few hours after removing the last 2 items fitted (blackout switch & map light panels) and checking what was live with the ignition ON/OFF to rule out any live wires behind the dash when it's in place with it's 5 x 2BA bolts etc, nothing out of place was found, and the same with blackout switch/map light panels.
I also checked at the rear lights as they were not new items, nothing out of place there either, the front lights were new (ex UK) again I checked to make sure that none of the bullet connectors were bare and able to short out, again nothing found.
I did disconnect the wire from the flasher can to the trailer warning light, and the wire to the LHS windscreen wiper motor, for some unknown (well to me!!) this wiper motor will not work in the vehicle, it worked fine on the bench!!, it's green wire fell down in behind the map light panel, I don't know whether it shorted out??, anyway time will tell, cheers Dennis

    UK parts supply.

    G'day All,
Greg, I use P.A Blanchard 99% of the time, great service. You will need a S2A parts catalogue, as you have to put in the part numbers to get the availability/price.
Some items have 2-3 listings? they show Genuine, generic, and other brands, where possible I always use the genuine parts regardless of the cost, e.g Diff pinion oil seal ex OZ $27.50, ex UK $3.30 + postage, I usually buy 4<>6 of some items that I know I could need down the track for something else or just keeping other Land Rovers on the road, hope thats of some help, cheers Dennis
the link P.A. Blanchard & Co. : Ex Military Landrover Specialists, Trailers, Ex MOD Spares, Surplus Stores & Equipment
ps I usually email them and make arrangments to ring them at a certain hour & day, and pay by credit card over the phone, Nick is the person I speak to,,.

I agree that Blanchards are very good especially if you have a part no.

I gave up giving my card details to any business, when someone used it to buy perfume in Paris, amongst other things, worth $2500

If you register with Blanchards you don't have to pass over details - I can't remember if they have a Paypal link,

    Cheers Charlie
