Some great vehicles in that parade. Impressive.
I had been invited by the local branch of the RSL if I could provide some vehicles for their first open day, they had memorabilia from the Boer war to Australia's current conflict in Afghanistan, I said I would help out but with limited resources I might only get 1 vehicle there.
Today was the day and my mate John T helped me (John is suffering lung cancer) so the day was a drag on him but he soldiered on, we managed to get 3 Land Rovers
112-501
112-655
113-372
there were other vehicles there as well, Unimog, G wagen, US half track (half missing) n a Ford jeep, I was flat out keeping kids off the vehicles and some parents need to go to parenting classes, Grrrrrr!!!
The day started early 0610hrs, it was bloody freezing here, frost on the ground, I almost froze solid in the 4k's drive over in the gunbuggy, got a lot of looks from people all rugged up vehicles with heaters going LOL, anyway I only managed 2 images all day

the 3 of them were scattered across the block, it was hard work keeping an eye on them and the gear that was in them, if anything has been nicked I haven't noticed it missing as yet, cheers Dennis
No photos of the BEST one? Or other shots of the others?
Maybe I can help...

ps I was there I can assure you,,.
For those who don't know (and Dinty worked it out early) I had the photos come up as a mate saw the gunbuggy on Facebook and advised me, they are on the RSL Facebook page so I "stole" them :)
If I was there I'm pretty sure the gunbuggy would have come home with me. ( mmm gun buggy mm )
Just adding some further information on this little truck, Stan Middleton who runs the 2AOD site of which I'm sure some of you are familiar with contacted me to let me know that the image of 113-372 @ Tan Son Nhut (or Bien Hoa as was it the day) with the 4 Ozzie MP's sitting in it has been used by the makers of a film called 'The Galah's" a true story about AFL in 1967, not a footy fan myself (to each his own) how did 113-372 get into the flick, well the team dropped into Sth Vietnam on their way home from the world tour but sadly no-one had any images showing the situation as it was at the time and Stan Middleton is heavily involved in AFL both here and in Vietnam anyway a link to the site re the "Galah's" The Galahs' untold story makes its way to the big screen - AFL.com.au anyway cheers Dennis
The image just in case you have not seen it 113-372 in country @ Bien Hoa US Airbase Sth Vietnam 1968
