I didn't take any piccys today, so I can only tell you what "didn't happen". :D :D
Picked up the RT-524/VRC with mount and antenna base from Windsor and popped around to Black Bill's place on the way because he has kindly made up some power cables for my 2 tables. Thanks Bill :) :) :)
Then fitted up three of the four antenna tune units (MX-6707/VRC) and 2 of the masts (which makes up the rest of the AS-1729/VRC) and even flew the flag to check if the masts would cope - this being their first time attached to an ex-Aussie Army Land Rover.
Fitted the backrest over the toolbox in place and the dicky seats and started preparing the radio tables for mounting. A little bit of olive drab on the power distribution box, unfortunately it has the wrong mounting bolts so have to source the correct ones.
The rear tyres are now facing the same way as the front ones. Some rubber mats made for the front footwells.
Tomorrow hopefully the tables will be complete with radio mounts in place, the fourth AS-1729/VRC (but missing the fourth mast ATM. Then off for a the annual Rego check on Monday.
Anyone know where the best place to buy deep cycling batteries in Sydney? And which ones for the battery boxes in the side of the vehicle?

Somewhere I have the document detailing the battery size to be fitted for which radios. I think I put the info on the S3 FFR info page, check there.

Things are moving along.
Today the power distribution box has been fitted in situ. The set-up is to be a little unusual pro-tem till I sort out the Rover engine and a 24V alternator.
The plan is, the 2 (12" deep cycling batteries (75AH)) for the 24V system in the left hand battery box and leaving the RH box available for other things ATM. (Is there an EMEI to use a battery retainer as a toolbox retainer? :D :D :D) There will be a 3rd battery (N70ZZ or 75AH Deep Cycling) in there as well, this will be charged from a 12V dual battery isolator. The third battery will be running a Mil. Spec. 12V-24V inverter to charge the 24V system through the external Gen Set plug on the face of the power distribution box, plus be a 12V supply available for other uses. (The Battery Retainer/Special, Vehicle G 325-1-DLA-MkI, Diana for the use of, is at prototype stage awaiting final finish welding.)
The 12V-24V inverter is sitting in place with the cables ready for electrical certification and approval by Black Bill. Thanks again Bill.
Tomorrow, is to finish wiring up of the 3rd battery and finish the radio tables, painting etc.
Does anyone have an EMEI showing the actual connections for the batteries inside the power distribution (control Box)? I have the schematic but it is a little unclear what battery terminal goes where. (If not I'll leave it for BB.)
I'll try to take some pics on the morrow.

I even think I have the connections correct but the holes wrong (comes from running 5 cables through two holes designed for a single battery cable.

In the afternoon went and made up a special spare wheel hold-down for the "pink panther" style rims and finished off fabricating the triple battery retainer.
