LPG diagnostic tools

If you buy an USB cable kit then you get the matching software with it. Install the software from the CD supplied and then have a look. Mind you I have no idea if the software will be of any use to you, it only picks up certain kinds of problems and not sticky injectors for example. Then there's the steep learning curve you need to climb to make sense of the italinglish instructions! It's not going to give you a detailed printout of every minor glitch, you'll have to work with it and do some critical thinking about what you expect to see. Remember this software is for setting up the injection kit for a wide range of engines from a 5 cyl 2 litre to a V8 6 litre, it's trained mechanics software not a simplified fault scanner.

I dont know what it will do untill i have the stuff to connect.
Below is a couple of items you might find interesting.
The PDF file is written by the Italian chappy and is very large and is in english. I have read thru it three times and seems to be straight forward. It does not appear to be rocket science.
Also it indicates that you can reset thingy's to default.
The other download is the software for my system.
I am trying to identify which cabling kit will be compatible.
I have sent emails to Sprint Gas and others overseas to try and get the right kit, I await their reply's.

I shall continue to try and find the right gear ( cable kit ).

If you are still having problems try this;

Get your machine running without the USB lead plugged in and make sure the machine is connected to the internet.

Then plug the adaptor in and you should see a series of messages as it downloads and installs the driver.

Eventually it should say something like "your device blah blah blah" is ready to use

Then plug it in to the bitch and fire up the software

Look for a menu item or button which says "connect" and see if it will talk

That is probably good advice.

Problem is I dont have a lead yet !!!
There are half a dozen or so that I think might be the one I need but I could buy them all before I discover that the one I need for my system is number eleven.
I cant find anyone to tell me which is the cable that I actually have to buy.
Sprint Gas has clammed up and appear to be keeping it to themselves.
I will give them a couple more days and see if they reply. I offered to buy the complete diagnostic system from them even.
Agents dont want to know because it is a Landy with an outdated system ( 2006 ).

Getting a bit fed up with it actually.
My first thought was to remove all this gas stuff and thro it in the skip but when the DH threatend to increase the price of petrol and everything else I thought I might be able to fix it and possibly save a quid here and there.
The DH looks like he might win because I am stuck for a lead thingy.

Your OMVL system should have the same diagnostic plug as a whole range of badge engineered injection systems. My diagnostic cable works with a whole host of different systems. Just buy the cable kit you showed from ebay and it should work, depending on your computer's age the cable will need the USB drivers off the supplied CD or the computer can download one itself off the net.

Wouldn't have a clue, I don't do much work on OMVL kits. The first one I got to work on I ended up ditching the ECU and fitting a later Zavoli ECU. After a bit of stuffing around I got it to go lots better than it had ever gone in the previous few years, according to the owner. The early ECU had some kind of intermittent fault that used to blow up expensive dash switches.

Robert, did you ever ask Bruce Davis seeing as he installed the system? Owing to your location, it's no skin off his nose if he gives you the software.
