Gazza, I got a brand spankin' gas setup for my Rangie complete with twin undeneath tanks with a cradle, converter, mixer & gas rings, all lines, switches, fittings, etc for $1000 - from the Trading Post.  My Dad got some second hand twin underneath tanks for his RR for $300 (stamped in '97), so there are a few bargains out there.
The cost of installation by a certified LPG installer is a big chunk out of the total cost, so I'm still trying to find out what can and can't be installed when it's a DIY job.  Will post the answer as soon as I find out, unless someone else reading this already has accurate info they'd like to share...
