Sorting out OBDII input for omvl dream

Hi Folks. another question that i need answered!

im in the depth of splicing the omvl dream xxi wiring loom into the D2a's loom. all is well and good, but i have gotten stuck in regards to the wiring of the OBDII. On page 8 of the following link you will instructions on how to wire the omvl ecm into the obd port connections:

    [ame]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31594560/ECU%20Manuals/Digitronic%20AEB%202568D%205%206%208%20cyl.pdf[/ame]

It explains that there is 2 different types of combinations that can be made depending on what type of canbus signal your car has. Without the proper tool to asses what canbus i have on my 2004 discovery, it is impossible to know which combination of wiring i need to carry out. can anybody guide me as to which way to wire this in?
    Thanks in advance.

Not all pins will be present in your obd2 port. Either one connection, or the other, or neither will be present. I have not seen a port where both 6 and 7 were present. In any case, it's not a very important function, it will run perfectly well without it.

Okay thanks. I might just skip it then and cap the wires.
