There are quite a few garages with it around here, and two have recently been refurbished, and still have LPG.
Seems down south they are disappearing.
Hi All
The local Shell Service Station here in Canning Vale a suburb in Perth is in the process
of removing LPG gas bowses.
The same is having in number of other suburbs and after a discussion at a recient party several people mentioned that quite number of |Service stations in the country are removing LPG tanks as well.
Rang the RAC today and they confirmed that LPG gas outlets are being phased out ...the're not sure if all will disapear totally but with the advent of more fuel efficient petrol & Diesel, vehicles more complicated on board computers they have becoming less popular.
They said if Im going to plan a journey using LPG in the country I'll need to do my homework and plan it well.
Has anyone else noticed the dissapearance ......
Cheers

I am located in Bentley, i usually get my lpg from a bp just off millpoint road. usually around 63.00 cents/litre. I have only had lpg installed on my d2a for 7 months but as far as i hear/see, they are slowly cutting lpg at stations.. This sucks a tad, i really enjoy the aspects of an lpg fitted vehicle, not just the running costs.
Hi Scarry
There's are a couple of LPG stations still close by so for the moment I'm
not too worried as the Rangie is used more around the city and near outskirts only.
My future plans was a tourer but a long range fuel tank may be now on the cards though
she does run well on gas.
I was told 20 service stations between Perth to Geraldton had removed LPG tanks but
that's unconfirmed.
RAC suggested keeping an eye on our local govt run Fuelwatch service that posts the cheapest fuel for the next day in Perth and surrounding areas.
You can serch the type of fuel you are looking for ......they also suggested looking up ELFuels
Although I've never heard of them .....
Interesting to see what's happening around the other parts of OZ

7 months isn't long ......with the price of the system less any govt subsidiary (still around) how long (years) did they the LPG installer quote to recoup your outlay.
Hopefully the supply will be around for a while in the city but using LPG for longer trips will be problematic.
My Rangie has a electric fuel pump issue and is running on gas only.
I have to drop petrol tank to replace the in tank pump as LPG cylinder is obscuring the normal access hatch in the rear
I had a Disco 1 a few years ago now ...it was gas converted with scuba tanks in rear.
She ran beautifully on gas / petrol and I never noticed any difference in power when running on either system.
Discos are a sweet ride though I do have a soft spot for my 2 and 4 door Rangie

I installed the system myself then got it signed off by a professional. The install cost me around $1700, only cost was the italian omvl sequential system and the second hand 90L tank. Runs beautifully, and returns 450km to a 80L fill of LPG
discos are awesome man. The only downside is the up keep, but when you wrench on your own rig it turns into a hobby as well.
Currently I have three work vans that run LPG,Toyota factory fitted, liquid injection,Landi Renzo.Same system as run in Maxi taxis.
One has just clocked 280000 k,is being replaced,I will replace it with a diesel.
I much prefer LPG to diesel, and they have been virtually trouble free.
They are also loaded close to GVM all day and still return at least 400K for around 55 to 60l litres.
Power is very slightly down from petrol.
The other two vans have also had no issues, with a combined mileage of 400K.
Let's hope it is around for a while longer, but profits are what drives the oil companies, and as said there is very little in LPG.
