    Excessive leaness

    sigh,
4.6 seq LPG inj. OMLV dream 21?

car stalled on take off (LPG) a couple of times lately,,
car has ERRORS excessive leaness on both banks,(ASSUMING LPG)
car sometimes flutters on highway,, (funny that--)

Please dont tell me to get it Dyno'd,,
'Cos I can tell you it makes more HP on LPG than PULP,,
Dyno guy says LPG is mimiking PULP properly,,

    but it cant be,, right?
PULP LTFT's are single figures ALL the time,,,
LPG LTFT's down the highway go to max 25+,,

28 pulls on the dyno over two visits and two fuels,,
I have complete confidence in the Dyno Guy,,

    sigh,,

Without a laptop plugged into the LPG ECU you're wasting your time. When I tune injected LPG I massage the LPG map to reduce fuel trims to the absolute minimum. I do this during a road trip, not on a dyno, and stop occasionally to adjust the map. Usually this process takes me 1/2 an hour or so. A poorly adjusted map may well run just fine but as you have found out the fuel trims will get a workout.

On the mechanical side it's possible your OMVL regulator is boggered, I never had much time for those things as they are difficult to service and have no easy adjuster for the pressure. With the software connected you would be able to see a pressure drop.

LPG whiff is unburnt fuel, both rich and lean can cause that due to incomplete combustion.

    Thanks Bee utey,,
those 28 dyno runs had a laptop plugged in,,
I can only ASSUME Rob had it plugged in on his road trip down the Highway,,
I can only ASSUME the laptop would show LTFT's,, (but maybe not otherwise???) mixture--
The regulator is less than 40K old,, replaced it on our trip,,

It depends on the connection of the LPG ECU to the vehicle diagnostic port, OBD2 wiring didn't really get fitted to them before 2010 or so. Nothing stopping the mechanic from using a separate plug in tester though. Early systems had the ability to read the O2 sensors although they weren't used for adjustment, just display. Not all fitters bothered though as other tuning methods can be used. Testing can of course be done the old fashioned way by watching the petrol injector times when you swap fuels. If your engine ECU needs to change the times by a significant amount when LPG is running then the mapping is poor.
