I have a manifold tank in the cargo area of my D2. Just put a false floor over it. It's only 280mm high so i just lifted my shelf up and lived happily ever after.

That spare wheel tankwould be the go for a rangey though. What a good idea.

 Aussie ingenuity.

		lpg in 97 disco
I have an 88 liter tank behind the seats. its a bit of an issue with space and I only get about 250 - 260 k's from a tank of gas. pretty impressive someone getting the same from a 60 liter undercar set up.

		steveo, that's pretty terrible mileage.

admittedly, mine are all highway km, but my 66lt underfloor tanks get 350-370km very consistantly.

Is yours very heavy and doing city driving?

thats pretty much around town. but probably only add about 10 - 20 k's for a straight run. i was pretty dissapointed with the mileage when i got the conversion done but the mechanic that done it said it was pretty normal. its an 80 liter tank but it takes about 65 liters at the pump when you consider that it fills only 80 percent and it doesnt idle very well on gas

still seems a bit short to me for 65 lt, But mine only does country runs so I don't know if that is right for stop start running.

not sure but i had a fairlane on gas was a 3.9 liter (same size engine but 6 cyls) that did about 400 k's for the same gas. don't know if being an 8 cyls would make it use more though
