Tuff Trip & year end BBQ 27.11.11

Max organised the final TT at the Osbourne's property at Wisemans Ferry. The first challenge (to test the capability of the trucks) was a nice little series of rock steps.

The easy part was to come, so we thought. The idea was to progress along a section of off camber track and then head up hill for more exploring. What we didn't know was the 1 km section of off camber track would take about 4 hours for the 10 odd trucks to pass through. With each passing truck the track was torn up leaving the next truck to navigate a mud pit. The track was so poor for the last few trucks that winching and ropes were required to keep the vehicle from ending up on its side in the bush. The pics will tell the story.

Naturally the BBQ conversation was full of war stories.

Thanks to Max for organising the day and to the Osbourne's for making their property available and rescuing a few of the tail enders.

We would also like to echo the thanks to Max for organising the trip and also to The Osbornes for allowing us to come and check out the new driveway!!!
To young Michael for leading the trip as he made the track!!!
To Gary for his recovery work and for once again showing what that truck can do.
And finally to everyone that attended,we had a great time and it really finished off the year on a good note.

Correct line on third attempt .............. and not a problem

I would have liked to see the 90 tackle your original line - the shorter wheelbase would mean that front and rear would not be trying to climb at the same time.
