Yup that's the standard Land Rover designed type, very similar to the Au Mil spec although the Aussie ones don't have plastic windows.
The NZ mil one I remember was on a stage 1, the drawstring was incorporated up both sides and across the top where the OEM Land Rover one is only at the top and it didn't have the little pockets at the rear sides where the edges of the back flap go through.
I like the OEM Land Rover ones, but was not impressed with the other NZ one I saw.
Mind you it may have been home made after it's Kiwi Army service, who knows!

The knots and things somehow make it all the more pleasant.
Now that you mention it, I vaguely recall seeing one as you describe it. There were a few variations where the army tried to get local suppliers to supply tilts and some were ``not that good.'' Quite a few were made from various synthetics, including one PVC one I saw. Can't say I liked them at all. I much prefer canvas for strength, durability, UV resistance,... All it needs is an annual coating of water proofing agent
