Freewheeling hubs on a 6X6 perentie

Anyone know if the 24 spline series 3 freewheelers will fit on the Salisbury axles. I am looking at fitting them to the rear axle on mine after I put the detroit lockers in. If they will fit it will save the rear axle from windmilling all the time.
    Cheers......Brian

No. Five bolt vs six bolt drive flanges.

But believe it or not, free wheel hubs do exist for coil sprung Landrovers, and would fit. Presumably made for the earliest 110s that had selectable four wheel drive optional. And I have seen them offered for sale, although not recently, but a poke around might find a pair.

Hi brian ashcrofts do a kit to suit early 110 so should be right for your axle flanges.

You'll only need the hub kits though.

Thanks JC, from that Ashcroft link it looks like they are AVM so possibly may be able to get them here. With our low dollar and high postage cost from the UK it's probably just as cheap to get them here. Have to make a few phone calls!

Thanks Paul, looks like AVM are the go. Had any problems with them? I remember oil leakage was always a problem when I had them on Series vehicles years ago but I think they were Selectro brand.

I think you still need the flanges that are made by ashcrofts to bolt the avm hubs to.

I thought they would bolt straight on where the drive flanges go? Found an AVM kit number so will ring and find out.
