    Uhf antenna location

Hi quick question on uhf antenna location on the perentie. Is their any point attempting to adapt a uhf antenna to the side mounting bracket? Of is just for looks for the average joe? Or just stick to the front bull bar?

Front bar mount can be handy from this point of view - if you are going under overhanging foliage you see what stress it is under.

With a side mount rear of the cab you are unlikely to see what it is hitting.

Aerial performance unlikely to be affected much either way - I have used a magnetic base aerial on the capping inside the canopy towards the rear - works well and not at all obvious.

I put mine on the roof rack to get a better signal up high without the vehicle body blocking part of the signal.

If mine was side mounted, it would be long gone by now.

Can you move the FFR antenna bracket to the rear?
