    Question Secure bench seats

I have a cargo/troop carrier Perentie and have the bench seats fitted. The seat back is secured to the frame so no issue there. The seat bottom, isn't secured. As a result, every time I go over a bump, the seats bounce around. Is there any reason why they aren't secured to the frames? Any issue if I did secure them? Thanks

I think there should be laces at the back of the cushions to tie onto the bottom seat frame.... Do the cusions have these or eyelets ?

LR V8, Thanks for posting. No, there are no laces or straps and no eyelets for laces or straps. Both seat cushions/bases are different colours so I'm guessing they are probably originally from different vehicles and neither eyelets.

Some cushions have eyelets for thongs, but other ones (perhaps the ones on my 110), have strips of fabric tape sewn into the seams at the back corners.

I have found bums tend to hold the cusions firmly on the frames.
When bums are not available, I fold them up.

The trouble is, when you go over a bump, the bums don't lift off the cushions but the cushions lift off the frames.

That is why you belt what the bums are attached to down.

I found the problem! I saw another Perentie in a parking lot and went and had a chat with the guy. He also has the rear seats. The thing is, his lower rear seat cushions are thick, have tie down strips and don't have a solid plate inside to give it rigidity. What I realised, is that mine came with 4 back rest cushions and what I thought were seat cushions, are actually back cushions . I guess that is why they never fit very well
