G'day Brian and welcome. Why not just put the PTO winch that was designed for it back on (Powauto 9000M). They have been selling winches at the Sydney auction most months and they have been going cheap. Then you have to source the PTO drive unit that fits on the transfer case and the drive shafts. There are some PTO drive units around (I have a couple of spares) and the shafts are available. They are much more rugged than any electric winch and you can use them continuously without fear of damaging them. It all comes down to what type you want I guess but you will need one in the vicinity of 9000lb straight line pull.
    Cheers......Brian

I have been pondering this for some time but have never been game to bid on a Perentie Winch because the Winch is only one part of what is required. Where does one get the Drive Shaft and Mounting Brackets etc?

Like you I will probably settle for an Electrical one. I am also thinking of an adapter that I have seen that allows the winch to me moved to anywhere that has a Hayman-Reece Tow-Bar setup allowing the Winch to be moved to the back if required.

This has been no help to you but thought I would add to the conversation.

PTO winch is superior in many ways

The reliability of electric winches declines as they remain in their new condition (unused)
