Good luck with it mate, I am expecting my first Perentie to arrive on a truck tomorrow, bought sight unseen - very excited. I have had Landies forever, currently a 130 trayback and Disco 4.
Cheers, Paul
Hi All,
This is my first post as a Land Rover Perentie owner. Just picked one up in the November auctions. (I also have a Disco 3 V8).
For those considering the Perentie and buying one through the auctions; I found the whole experience very straight forward and easy. I was able to inspect the vehicles ahead of the auctions dates, I even hopped in and started them in the yard. (Hooray for Keyless ignition)
I picked mine up with an unregistered vehicle permit from QLD Transport and drove it home. Changed over the key ignition barrel and key and doorlocks my self. I had the Roadworthy done by a mobile service. They upload details on the spot and I received an email immediately with certificate and number. Got it registered and received the plates the next day.
Everything works on the Perentie and it came with a full service history.
I haven’t read all the post and threads as yet , but am interested in everyone’s experience and how they find the perentie. Pictured of the beast attached.
Cheers,
Gary

Welcome to the forum 88 - hope that your Perentie enlarges the permagrin
Plenty of more info including repair manuals over on remlr.com and remlr.com forum - very cheap to join up
Welcome to the forum and Perentie ownership.
Thanks 87, Yes the grin seems to be permanent!! Thanks also for the info on repair manuals. I also downloaded all the relevant tech and spec pdf docs for these vehicles from the Australian Frontline Machinery website too, (free of charge) .
My regular Land Rover servicing , (free plug for MR Automotive) will give her the once over later this month. Might also do the power steering conversion as well. My daughter on her ‘L’s’ also want to drive! Cheers, 88
Some more photos of Perentie ARN 48740. Currently on REMLR in an attempt to find out more about her work history. 88.
Sounds great , looking at getting into one myself have a holden overlander which doesn't have the practical storage etc (as much as we love it ) so going to let that go and set up a lizard for bush trips , look forward to more pics of your new ride and keep us all posted , enjoy !
