PS some of you people are soon going to experience the dilemma of what to drive/when to drive, like me this weekend, I have to take 7 Land Rovers + 2 trailers on a 100 mile round trip for rego check (club rego day), it has cost me so far $250.00 in fuel, (and I still might need more) $280.00 for 2 replacement batteries and I haven't left the yard yet, we leave at 0700hrs 29/11, still a myriad of things to do/check, life was much simpler with one Land Rover,,.

Am already recruiting drivers for Corowa 2011.

The problems of registration is why the LROC in Sydney uses the Pink Slip system from your local garage. For a Land Rover which doesn't require type specific knowledge and members all over the state it is a good way to go.

You can still list any other clubs as "secondary clubs" on the purple certificate of operations and go to their events and in your case even with the cost of membership you would have saved $200 dollars in fuel.

ps 2011 is way to far ahead, wot wif all this B/S**t about carbon bloody tax rubbish there is a possibility that fuel could be only in the realm of retired politicians and the packer clan:(:mad: and I suppose with the world deemed to end in 2012 ah stuff it sell the house and just move to Corowa, n die with all our stuff around us:twisted::p

Not sure that I'd know whether to be spend the end of the world crowded in at Ball Park or with the big stuff at the airport? :D :D

Very nice camper there Diana......well done.

Dinty - As for getting vehicles ready for rego, even for club rego its not a cheap thing at all.........we do have a little flexing with club registration in SA.

We have another outing next weekend Christmas Pagent in Port Augusta, and I have enough trouble getting two vehciles ready (with work being so busy, and hardy home) little lone getting your fleet ready Dinty.

G'day All, This type of rego check comes along every 3 years thankfully, on the intervening years 2 club inspectors come to my place and check all vehicles n trailers bar one, that vehicle I have to take to an annual rego check as per club constitution, but it's still a costly exercise in time and money.
Today I had to squeeze in mowing (edges whipper/snipper etc) a lawn where I have some kit stowed anyway it was only 35 deg, cheers Dennis:angel:

I should have said a lot more about all your efforts in assisting with this purchase.

For those who didn't know, Phoenix has been extremely helpful in this endeavour. First up he drove the round trip from Launceston to Dave Benson's place to examine and report on the vehicle. A full day's effort and about 300 Km just for fun. Many Mb of compressed files later I had the report and images and decided to proceed and have a final inspection with an intention to buy. flew down on the early flight and went out to Dave's had the inspection, to find that a lot of the mil fittings missing and it was throwing out of low range. I was still a little reluctant and BB very reluctant, but I still proceeded on the grounds of it's mil history and rarity value.

We had planned to meet up with Phoenix at Devonport and have a cuppa, but it turned out to be merely a wave lest we miss the ferry.
