Just thought I'd post up a table with the wiring codes for the 12 pin NATO interface (plug/socket).
The codes are from the 1970 version of the SIIA, the 1977 version of the SIII and the Perentie. (E.&.O.E.)
As most will know, the NATO standards have a number of options for particular countries. e.g. in Europe where fog is common pin F represents rear fog lamp while in the Australian SIII the same pin is used for blackout stop.
NATO 12 pin standard does not include reversing lamps or electric brakes. The modified NATO uses pins that are spare or redundant in some versions of the wiring standards. Both the trailer and any vehicle that tows it should be checked or retrofitted before using the Modified NATO standard.
