    No5 trailer plug

Does anyone know how the 12 pin nato plug on the trailer comes apart? It seems i have a short at times on the trailer. My brake lights stay on and also the blackout rear lights on the perentie flicker sometimes. Wiggle the wire and they go out. Need to pull the plug apart. HEEEELLPP

    Cheers Rod

Undo the clamp around the back that holds the cover against the cable. The whole lot then comes out the front - it can be quite hard - a screwdriver in the back down past the cable until it touches the back of the pin face, then some taps with a hammer. If the plug is old and the rubber cover hard, it can take some doing.
