Has anyone changed the hitch on a Haulmark but kept the hydraulic brakes?

    Hello wise forum.

I have a cooks army trailer which has the same hydraulic override brakes as the Haulnark’s.

My dog is terrified of the banging the pintle hook hitch makes so I want to change hitch but keep the hydraulic brakes.

Has anyone successfully converted their Haulmark in this way?

Just place a plumber's rubber 'O' ring doubled over on top of the lunette before you close the pintle. It fills the vacant space so you don't get the 'clunk' anywhere near as you do without it. I was shown this over 30 years ago & I'm still on the same ring.

What's a plumber's O-ring normally used for? Is it for joining earthenware pipes?

It should go around a plumbers hips like a belt to hide plumbers cleavage.
