What no one understands is that deep down all of us Landy nuts are a bunch of tightarses that will only pay lots for something if its rare![]()
But with 3300 or so Perenties I think we're mostly going to have the patience to wait!
If you want a laugh, have a look at the video here -

OMFG
The funniest bit, is the script is just that!
Seems to be an 'Enter interior colour here, now enter exterior colour here,' press play and it inserts the words into the standard script!
Guess they didn't pre-record the word 'Camouflage'when they first made it.
Thanks, BDave

Have a look at the catalogue that's coming out. Grey's state that the odometer reading does not necessarily reflect the distance the vehicle has travelled. They say that prospective purchasers should examine the documentation to ascertain the true mileage. For reasons given above, even this is not necessarily a true indication either.
G'day Will, caveat emptor (that means don't necessarily believe what you see or what you are told) mate !
As in isuzutoo2's post, many parts incl odos can be expected to have been changed during the service life of the vehicle - if the log book is available it may show this change. At times it would have only taken a flicking speedo needle (for which you or I may have simply lubed the cable) to have caused a new speedo to be fitted.
Advertised ks therefore may or may not reflect the overall distance travelled by the vehicle and should not be taken at face value - obviously some resellers (especially dealers) will attempt to infer that the ks shown are correct.
We know that some parts in them are replacements but in in other cases it would be impossible to know what parts may or may not be what was fitted on the original build.

I am familiar with the SIII sell off in the early 90s (in Sydney at least) ... AFAIR the price slowly gravitated down to $4k and stayed at that level (condition notwithstanding)
They could then be bought (often with rego) from disappointed purchasers for $2k -$3k.
These were auctions that you needed to actually attend and I left a few feeling disappointed until I was fortunate enough to buy one of those cheaper resales.
