Digger, would be an interesting exercise to check out the history of the S3 LandRover and the MK3 International. I will locate their vin numbers and do as you suggested.:)

Well, I have purchased a 4 litre can of Protec from a local Newcastle agent that I have tracked down. We can start repainting the Bofor after the Queens birthday weekend, for those interested here is a photo of it. It is very good condition considering its age but we plan to do a lot of refurbishing to it.:)

Immeadiately behind it (you can just see the barrel) is a WW2 Bofor with the British Stiffkey sight. In the foreground you can just see parts of a 25 pounder field gun and in the background is a Studebaker 6x6 truck. The volunteers at the Fort a very keen and anybody wishing to assist would be very welcome. I would like to thank people on this Thread who pointed me in the right direction regarding the correct paint.
I did some spraying of a panel on a Perentie a few weeks back and the Protech green is a very different colour to the olive drab that was on the LR.
The olive drab on the vehicle has probably faded to a lighter, brighter green Ron. If you rub the existing green back, or oil it, it will most likely approximate the colour you were spraying :)
Btw, I thought a technical person like you may have been able to help with the problem I posted on the aulro D1 forum earlier (re blowing fuse #14 ( Instruments)):)
Yeah, if you have a look at the picture of the Bofor, it's colour is very faded as you would imagine after the many years since it has been painted. I am expecting the Protec paint to be darker.:) In any case caution will be exercised by painting a discreet area first.
