    International MK 3 chassis number

I have a friend who needs to find the chassis number on a MK3 ex Aust army International.
He is trying for historic rego and we need to check the chassis no to see if it matches the paper work supplied with the vehicle.
My friend has checked the front RHD chassis rail for markings and couldn't see any ?????
where would the chassis number be stamped.
    Regards
    Ron

Front left chassis rail I thought.

It should also be stamped on the data plate at the front. Lift the bonet and look at the top of the radiator.
I'll see if I can find some pictures.

We need to sight the chassis number on the chassis and take a photo of it to keep the club register happy as he gets lots of people giving him casting or part numbers instead of the true chassis number and to check the papers with the truck and spec plates all tally up.

Mick we are trying to find a jerrycan holder rack for the RHS near the brakemaster cylinder and a original RVB horn for a MK3.
This new owner of the truck is very lucky as it is very original and not mucked around with.
It was sold though frontline machinery about a year ago and believed to have come from the SME museum Moorebank

    I know what you mean.
One of my 101s is registered with a casting number as the engine number. I tried to get it changed with the registration department. They refused to acknowledge their error and accused me of changing the engine. It all got too hard so I walked away.

And, my brown Mercedes, they changed to black on the rego info. So I just shut up about it.

I'll confirm the chassis stamping location tomorrow.

Shouldn't be hard to make one. It's basically flat strap and angle.DSC_0873.jpg
Maybe Diana or Cookey would know where one is.
