are you sure the curtains are 10cm thick?
do you mean 10mm?
they could be blackout curtains.
I was a company driver for while , night ops were a total pain in the arse.
the metal grids dont look military , by their colour , bit flash
G/day to the forum,
What are these items and their use, possibly from the ADF Bushmaster.
Item1: Matt or vehicle side curtain (190 cms x 86 cms) approx 10 cms thick, waterproof and heavy.
Items 2 : Metal grid, looks like aluminium but is steel its heavy, 62cms x 62cms x 5.5cms in depth
Maybe some ex service personal can cast a light on the subject.
Cheers.

Good evening, thanks for your interest.
The curtains? are 20 cms or 20mm thick, I thought they maybe the padding behind the troops seats in the Bushmaster vehicles or such like
to protect them from paint flakes or bits of metal when projectiles hit the exterior of the vehicle. They are heavy definitely for some form of protection in mho
The metal grids are ADF, must be an internal fitting for something, I have found a ADF Number on them if that would assist.?
Cheers.
