    military vehicles low km

    hi to averyone
i have noticed in my quest to acquire a 6x6 perentie, that some of these vehicle at pickles auction have verry little km for there age
the auction house states that these km are not a true indication of km travelled
can anyone shine some light on this.

As vehicles go in for major refurbishment, vehicles are stripped down and removed parts are serviced and go into the supply system - and then drawn out as required - so parts that come off a vehicle may not be the same ones that go back into a vehicle - so can be a different speedo and even engines and gearboxes etc - the maintenance logs may show the changes - may not.

    military vehicles low km

    hi fellow landi owners
im new to this so ill probably bore you with some stupid questions
im looking at the pickles web site and have noticed that some of these vehicles have done very little travel
i know the auction house has a warning that the mileage shown may not be correct.
so what does one go on to establish an approximate for the vehicle
any info would be greatfully appreciated
    cheers

Yep take maintenance logs with a grain of salt.......all depends on what mood the tradie was in.

Mostly they would be reasonably reflective of what was done
