Hi Chris,
It is 1/35 scale, I should have a couple more pictures to post today.

Well done Peter...even have the blower in there. Should be awesome by the time it is finished. Are you doing the rack mounts and all, they will be some work.Looks great.
cheers,
Paul
first coat of green, now I can see where I am up to. What a difference the green makes, now the interior, stretcher racks and all the other little bits to make.......
Peter
Oh. My. God.
The detail is incredible! Can you make me one Pete?!
Sorry Andrew, they are one off's........you could always make one yourself!!!!!
I have put about 12 hours into this one already.
Peter
The cab interior is nearly finished, the rear interior has its first coat of colour and now sits on its wheels. The small details for the rear are next and then onto the rear doors. Then the weathering to give it the final finish.......
Peter
Nice job!
Where do you buy the basis kits that you use? Are they in Australia? I gather they are a plastic put together model kit?
I wouldn't mind a series 3 kit if such a thing exists.
I purchase the basic kits when I see them, they are the Tamiya Pink Panther and the Tamiya Ambulance. Both of these kits are old releases and have been hard to find for a while, the company re-releases them from time to time so when you see them you buy them. The other parts for the Aussie mods are available here and the rest is hand made. The 2a Ambulance is about 20% kit, 20% aftermarket parts and 60% scratch built (hand made). If you want Aussie stuff you have to make it, so this is how it is done......
Attached is a couple of recent pictures, I have made a start on the stretcher frames and will post more pictures soon...
