Will you be laying the Ballast with a proper 00 Ballast train? Go on, you know you want to.

I didn't know Ballast was so important & actually needs cleaning regularly.

Yes, very important to the real thing, not so much for a model. The physics of ballast laying doesn’t translate well in small scale but I have seen an O gauge ballast layer. My OO Scale Model Train set Build.

Just reading again that NR website & found it incredible that the Ballast Train is a 1/2 mile long by the time all the different units are coupled together. Crikey!

No wonder Rail Travel costs a King's Ransom in the UK.

When I was visiting family some years ago, I stumbled across the Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg.
    Even my wife was impressed.
I'll try to copy the link in, here goes:

I think there were three or four floors of exhibits with dioramas and entire cities, some extending between floors to emulate the Alpine territory of Northern Europe.
I'm guessing you don't have the space to emulate this.

Some people have too much free time....

I imagine you'll have seen this already, but it's worth sharing here. Luke's attention to detail is astonishing.

From what I have witnessed, just give Gav 5 minutes to get his woodworking tools out.
