I love old Land Rover models - I have a few from the 50's and 60's here's my favourite. It is a 1950's Dinky Series 1 - with driver and Trailer.

I think it is quite amusing that G4 Orange was first used 50 years ago! Maybe life imitated art again ?

Here is my lil series model. Its a Dinki Di Land Rover that was given to me by a kind enthusiast who I bought a bull bar and winch from. His collection was just incredible, and his said that this could start off my collection. Well, I'm not sure I'll ever be a collector, but it does sit really nicely on top of my computer subwoofer.

    Cheers

I think that's the same model as mine Slunnie. Even has the matching broken front bumper. (Must have been a design fault)

I have seen the matching trailer on ebay for only a few bucks - they pop up regularly.

That is also the same DInky as the one in my avatar!

I have seen mint boxed version for sale for many hundreds of dollars.

Note: You can also just see the rear PTO on the back corner.

It is the same as your avatar too Sleepy, I'd never noticed the connection! And you're right about PTO etc too. Actually, I'd never noticed the PTO, broken bumper or the tow hook on it until just now. Mind you I did wonder why it had white tyres....
    Cheers

My other passion is VW Beetles. Do not have a Landy model but will get one this weekend to justify posting a photo of all of them.
One of the Beetle is a 4x4 though. With monster wheels.

ok my turn....not as many of some of these collections but at least they are all land rovers

all well almost all I left two out by mistake.

    by model
Disocverys:- series 1, series2 and a series3..G4 disco in there too

Rangies:- classic, range rover sport and L322..need to get a P38 thought we had one but can't find it

Freelander:- would like to get the later models

Defender:- 110 and 90's would like to get a 130 to complete and a Puma when and if released

Series:- didn't look at them all but a mixture of all pretty sure there is a series 1 in there somewhere

And I have one model that shocked us...because its such a coincidence OR IS IT!! go to the defender section to find out
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

Looking through a box of deceased estate stuff at work I came across this old Matchbox series 2 or 2a 'Safari' from circa 1965:

So had to photograph a few more, starting with the series 1s. Currently available from Hornby:

Then a series 3, one of the common $3 chinese made brands

And getting all modern with a td5 Defender, creek crossing made easy (don't want to flood the ecu):

then moving up in scale, another series 3 LWB. Seems farmer Joe doesn't seem too happy to have a chat with the old swaggie when there is heavy work to be done. Which is man's best friend, the swaggie's dog or the farmer's old Landie?

I have a bunch more put away somewhere from 1:160 scale up to 1:24 and have a few kits put away for a rainy day.

I would like to acquire a series 2a SWB truck cab!

    Cheers,
    Mark

Bought a SII LWB in Light grey today. 1:18 scale. Bloody nice too.
Now my collection of Landy's are two and VW Beetles six.
One of the Beeltes is a 4x4 monster truck.

I recently saw a rock climber RC model with a Defender body available.
    About 1:10th scale.
