Got myself another bike.

Hey Scallops, yes I have had the opportunity to ride a few CVO HDs, must say the new engines are pretty nice, finally some poke to go with the sound.

They are an entire experience that's for sure.. And I still get a smile when I see the Night Rod but I'm a little to much of a Fat Boy for a V rod [emoji6]

As for power and torque - I'm playing with 109 cubes, quad cams, quad valves and custom fuel system :D

Plenty of my mates ride HDs, a few have Triumphs and we all enjoy a ride...

That's a 1200 Ron, most likely an Interstate.

My dad had a 83 wing, I think it was only 1300cc. It was great to ride, feet up on the highway pegs, radio blarring, no wind on you, cruising at 110 with the thing barely ticking over at 1500rpm. Loved to ride it, was even very stable on back gravel roads (unlike his 750 quack).
I would love to buy a wing someday, and my wife would not reject - she looks forward to a comfy chair to sleep in.

A mate of mine ran a motorcycle repair business and was invited to a Honda ride day - the bike he chose was a new Gold Wing when everyone else was choosing the sports bikes. All the riders laughed at him for choosing the wing. Well after he kept up with the sport bikes including along the black spur, scraping the pegs/floorboards and arrived at lunch with out any aching arms, wrist or backs, guess who were trying to trade their sports bike for a chance on the wing - he had the last laugh.

A few years ago I had my first real Harley experience when I took my BIL Harley for a ride - was impressed with it's engine - but felt "heavy" to me, was only a short ride on straight rodes though. Then a while later I went for a long ride with some Harley owners - man I was impressed at how they handled the curves. I could match them in the corner speed on my little 600 but they could accelerate out of the bends soooooo much quicker. They earned their respect from me, but doubt I would actually own one.
As said before it is not what you ride but that you do ride.

Only 1300? :o Ron and I can remember when 500-750 were big bikes and 1000cc was heard of but never seen.
'83 'Wings were 1200cc., no slouch by any stretch.
