    I do hope the Indians make them better than the Poms did back in the 50's. The wet sump 500 twins were hopeless up here in Queensland in summer. Oil boiled, engines seized. The Bullet singles were not a bad bike though but did not have the performance of their rivals.

    Well, my 2000 model Bullet (apart from the LHS gearshift, electric starter, doughy muffler, and the indicators) is almost a carbon copy of a 1953 or 1954 model that I parked beside at an Historic Motorcycle meet in Allora a few years ago.

    It isn't a fast bike, by any means, but for cruising around rural backroads, it's an absolute joy!
