That's a completely different scenario, you're outside, your ears are in the direction of the bike coming and the idea has nothing to do with pedestrians, the term refers to saving motorcyclist lives.

Only thing that will save riders lives is the rider and other vehicle drivers paying attention, but mostly the rider being aware of his surroundings:twobeers:

I gave up riding on the road when I was about 20
Between people in cars not being aware of motorcycles, just about wiping me out on a few occasions and me (how do I put it) being distracted easily, just about wiping myself out, I sold the Harley and bought a (dare I say it) LLLand RRRover[emoji106]

This is how I ended up here

I actually kicked myself as to why I didn’t buy one when I was 17
The amount of times I got my old Hunter stuck going where only a 4x4 should go
