Glad you put in the link - never heard of him before and was gonna ask who Troy Bayliss was.
Bit of Bayliss ( and Mr Squiggle) fan so of all the things this guy can and has ridden, he gets hurt on a bloody pushy.

How unlucky for Troy and even more so, in hitting another treadly.
When I was working, my boss indulged in various forms of bicycle rides, mostly long distance e.g. around Lake Taupo (NZ), Newcastle to Gold Coast and the number of injuries he suffered, normally on training runs, was amazing. In fact, his wife approached me and asked if I would have a quiet word to him about hanging up his handle bars.
He even admitted that most of the incidents were during the "Head down, bum up" situation, which limits visual awareness, apparently. Perhaps this was the case with Troy?

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
Two friends of mine have died in bicycle crashes.
One of them was the fastest bloke around on a modded Duke 900SS, used to 'win' the Ducati coffee run down to Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road on Sunday mornings every time. Died after a mountain bike prang, years after giving away motorbikes.
A woman I know had a pushy prang and was in a coma after serious head surgery. Afternoon on NYE was going to have life support turned off when she opened one eye........
Boyfriend was on his way up to Melby to be with her when he got the call. She's fine now, amazing story.

I use to be a big Bayliss fan.
I have a great close up photo of him taken from an inside corner at Phillip Island. My room mate was a paid photographer at the time and had borrowed my camera as a back up and gave me the photo as a thank you. I really need to get it framed and hung up.

Rins was texting while riding and rode into the back of a Dorna van while they were setting up signage around the track!
