    Getting a Monster

Brilliant bike. I have had a yellow 1994 M900 for the past 12 years - could be the one in the photo except I know mine is in the shed with the seat off it. I bought the bike when I lived in Argentina and used it to get around Buenos Aires. Servicing costs? Haven't been too high - the bike now has almost 7,000ks on it.

Other bike is a Triumph America and now that I live in the bush I tend to ride it because it is more comfortable for long trips.

They are a great bike. I just sold my Thruxton a few weeks ago. Never had any problems with it whatsoever.

Traded it on a K series BMW (K1200RS) which has FAIRINGS and electric hand grips. I know I know - I am getting old....

    G'day Everyone,

Now for sheer riding pleasure you guys need to ride one of these. After 35 years of riding this would have to be the favorite.

Ahhh the memories of days gone by.

Alas it was the theft of my monster that led me to buying a Disco. Monsters are a very nice ride, get a nice set of pipes and the exhaust tune is hard to beat. As far as servicing goes if you go through a Ducati dealership it can get pricey as Ducati have fixed servicing costs however with a bit of searching you can find a good mechanic who is prepared to service them, there are many out there who want even look at it.

As for me though I'd love another bike the disco is chewing up my spare change (in a good way)

though if i won lotto a classic sport wouldn't go astray

Nice, is that the 620, looks like it.
Does not have the oil cooler near forks.
Mine was brilliant, had the 600, 750 and last was a injected 800 which had air box and exhaust and some electrics done by previous owner. Very torque and smooth.

Servicing was not too bad, tappets needed doing all the time(every 10k) and I dropped oil every 3k but thats just me.
Only hassle on bike was the fuel gauge on the 800 played up but other than that they were faultless so enjoy.
Driven in a tunnel with a nice was spine tingling.
