The way to pick up a bike is as follows.
Get on side of bike facing the underside.
Put one or both feet on the front wheel.
Grab the end of the handlebars with both hands.
Lean back and pull like crazy.
For a bike that heavy you will need another one or two people lifting the from the seat side.

Phillip - thats more or less what we did and I can assure you it's not right in any sense of the word !
Realising I should know a "right" way I googled and found those and similar vids to the ones Ron posted. I think, though, that ideally one would hav e ahold of the rear brake while acccomplishing this feat however thats not as easy as it sounds.

Well I've only been commuting so far bit boring but keeps me busy !
Anyway today as I left a set of lights I thought, bugger it I'll give it some. Planning of course to button off at a stately 60kph.
Anyway I gave it the noise and.... faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr out !!!
