The latest addition to my stable.
Bought from a guy who had owned it since new.
In the mid 80's I used to own a GSXR 1100G model when they first came out and loved the bike. I sold it when I decided riding it up the Old Gosford Highway (Mt White) every Sunday was more than likely going to end in tears or even much worse as often happened up there most weekends back then. Plus back then you could not race an 1100 in Australia so I had to sell it if I wanted to go racing, anyway I always regretted sellng it. So when I saw this immaculate completely standard 1100J model come up for sale I couldn't pass it up as you rearly see them in this condition with so few clicks on the clock (7,500). Will get it registered for this summer so looking forward to riding a classic Slabbie Gixxer once again, though no where near as fast as I used to.

Below is the only GSXR1100 to ever race in Australia at a national level, its a 97 WT model and was raced in the first year of the Formula Xtreme Championship in 97 by Warwick Nowland and then in 98 by then Kiwi Superbike champion Tony Rees. I sold it at the end of 98 and again later on regretted getting rid of it, especially given its history. It came up for sale about two years ago so I bought it back. I'm looking at painting it back to its old original race colours and maybe add a few hotrod mods to further increase its performance for New Era PCRA racing next year. It would be good to see the old girl race again.
