thats the point of the short throw loom.
for the rover v8 theres 2 plugs and the main power lead to the starter motor that you have to undo instead of cocking around disentangling the whole loom
looking at it from the flywheel the left hand side gets the 4 left injectors, dizzy, coil, MAF, AFM, Idle air bypass, temp sensors and the right hand side gets the 4 right injectors, the alternator wiring, the starter control, AC, low oil pressure.
the leads from that lot are nice and short from the back of the engine, the rest of the harness you get to make yourself

If i had the nouse i'd do my commodore again and tidy up the loom when the motor goes back in, but i havent got the nouseI can happily rebuild an engine though.
