    Bush Barrier Paint Saver

Ordered a set of Bush Barrier magnetic panels.Takes about 3 minuits to put on and less to remove.Ive been searching for a quick and easy way to save the cars paint job when I found this. Looks like it will arrive shortly as the courier has sent an sms.

I will roll them up and store them in a 20cm diameter pvc tube with end caps from Bunnings so storing in the car or roof is easy when not in use.

The fit on their website looks absolutely perfect, my dealings were with Steve and he is fantastic to deal with. They made a bronze/brown camo pattern for me as I thought the standard one was not really compatible with my bronze D4 at no extra cost. They guarantee it will stay on to 80kmh but has been tested to 130kmh with no panels flying off by others.

I was dreading my next trip with regards to scratches as my previous trip to the Barrington Tops had some tight tracks and I came out with plenty of scratches, took me a really long time to remove most of them so this set of panels is going to be worth it’s weight in gold (and car resale value)

Link is below with a vid of them installing onto a D4 on there website.

BushBarrier | Ultimate 4x4 Paint Protection

    Cheers
    Mike

Really interested how you go with this product!
I was looking into vinyl wrapping my car but this looks a really nice way of temporarily protecting the paint. I can see one person airing down, the other protecting up!

My brother sent me the link to the you tube clip. They look good. I was contemplating the roll on paint film, however I think I'll be going this way now.

Steve contacted me a little while back to offer a trial set to get feedback. So far I have only done a trial fitting at home.
The panels are a good, solid fit with a strong bond and I'm not concerned about them coming off.
There is however a number of unprotected areas that will still require protection with Paint Shield.
If I was purchasing a set I'd prefer a solid colour rather than a pattern.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Yep, bonnet and mirrors come immediately to mind, and I concur, plain option would be nice - after all apart from possibly your deal, most might prefer a more muted advertising approach.

Also the wheel arches and side part of rear bumper, plus the black trim on doors. Not sure how big the standard logo would be but it would need to be small.

I agree, there are parts still exposed and I discussed that with BB, they are working on it. I guess to protect the wheel arches and particularly the rear pax window frame etc with paint on protection becomes a much smaller job while using the panels.

As to the patterns vs plain colour was also something I brought up as I wanted a plain bronze colour, Steve’s answer was that plain colours would show scratches whereas the design version would hide most of it and keep the panels looking better longer.

My set just arrived and I think I saw the logo on only the rear panel with their logo way smaller and black in colour over the wheel arch area which looks better than the huge logo.

That's my thinking too, quicker overall, which is good for day trips. Doesn't really matter if prep'ing for a long trip but Paint Shield is a bit of an effort for just a day trip.
The unprotected parts are either plastic or aluminium (bonnet). I have put a clear wrap on the wheel arches.

Scott what sort of clear wrap did you use on the exposed parts?

The panels on your car in the above photo look pretty cool btw.
