Yes I'm down the Huon too.
Early Fiats were copies of Cats and some parts are interchangeable.
Early Fiat crawlers were almost as good as Cats..later ones eg Fiat Alllis gradually lost their way. Many were sold in Aus esp smaller orchid units and they performed v well.
Talk to David Tillyard out at Brighton..he's helped with a Fiat rebuild a couple years ago and might be able to get or match parts. Otherwise you'll be sourcing from OS I suspect.
Those Fiat crawler tractors mentioned above were aggy tractors not real dozers. Cockies being mean as cat poo bought the cheap ag tractor and fitted a blade to try to turn it into an industrial or construction tractor. They were not. Old, old story of farmers buying cheap and then wondering why the machines had problems doing work that the designers didn't intend.
At Tutts Machinery Group in Qld. we sold Fiatallis 8B later FD8, a good light crawler, about 10tonnes+ operating weight: FD9 made in Brazil, a brilliant tractor with an inline 6 turbo engine, about 12 tonnes; 10c/FD10 , good and popular, about 14-16 tonnes depending on equipment; 14C/FD14 another excellent product, 20 tonnes; FD20, a top product, 30 tonnes; FD30, which had an 18.7 litre twin turboed V8 diesel, plenty of weight and power and could one of these push, 40 tonnes. Then there were the two big mothers that usually went into mines. HD31 & HD41. The 31 had a Cummins K series and the 41 a Cummins V12. The later 41's had an operating weight in excess of 75 tonnes. Most 41's had a Kelly single tyne ripper fitted. Eight feet penetration. Used to rip overburden. Although at Gove two of them ripped the ore body of bauxite gravel and on occasions in good going got into second gear.
Weights quoted are "fully dressed" with either scrub canopy or ROPS cabin, blade, ripper.
whats a sintered bronze clutch pack doing in a dozer, thats the kind of thing you find in a motorcycles wet clutch in the gear box or an automatic transmission clutch pack...
wait a second...........
I may not be able to speak specifically about fiat dozer clutch packs but if you'd like a little friendly convo on various styles and pros and cons I'm happy to leave an ear open for you.

Used to have a lot of old Fiat stuff years ago, mite be worth a call/email
Goodo ,thanks Rick ,will call them, and will also slip out to Tilyards when back in Tassie.
Sorry Dave, ( Blacknight), I hadn’t picked up that someone else had replied to my plea ,
I will gather my thoughts and print them out .

As luck ( or lack there of) would have it, have a 50CI at work atm that am part way through doing steering clutches/brakes.
Drums coated in oil/water/dirt etc seems to make it rather hard to get the old girl to turn. Nut holding clutch drum on wasn’t even finger tight [emoji849]
