Good news is the trans is driving the diff.
Bad news is that the dislocated splined collar in the earlier photo is one of the diff side gears.
With the left side axle pulled I can see that RH side gear floating around in the diff when I select drive on the trans with engine running.
Looks like I’m about to find out how to pull the mast and diff housing!!

Not much to say really.
Anyone got a lead on where to get a new diff??
Steve
Model and serial number.
Can get the bits.......It will not be cheap.
Need list of bits.
Model should go some thing like
FG15
I think the motor should be a J15 or A15.
Information before P and A on parts is everything.
I think the general model range of that vintage was called a S series TCM
Thanks Ron. PM sent.
