I guess the plugs are relatively small compared to the sidewall area, so should be OK.
I think the reason they are illegal in road tyre sidewalls is that the sidewall is much thinner than the tread and flexes in a different way.
You wonder what who ever made the tyre used as fabric. Fish guts?

I don't think that is correct, there are however numerous sub laws governing repairs, can only do the middle 70% of the tread etc etc...Quote:

Re-inflated the tyre and after emptying a whole bottle of soapy water we found another small hole that was clogged with dirt……
Added another plug…….
Fingers crossed it’s the last one and the tyre holds pressure as it’s required to start hauling some more dirt later this week.

The tube must have got damaged installing it, possibly because the valve is on the inside of the rim, anyone who has fitted one like that will know what a bear they are.
Anyway, fixed now and we swapped the valve to the outside.
I love tyres... They are great on your forearms.
