    3B toyota motor

Oh dear, number 10 has arrived, it's a rather nice series 3 wagon except for the fact that it rolled off a hill into a brick wall resulting in a stuffed chassis, firewall and more!!! But, it sports a professionally done 3B & 5 speed box conversion and I just happen to have a series 3 ute that needs a motor and box (cause I stole the 2.25 diesel out of it for a 2a project but thats another story).
Anyway, just curious if anyone else has a 3B powered rover and if so, hows it goin'??
The conversion was done 11 years ago by a local mechanic who owned it, the current owner has had no probs with it so any dramas were hopefully sorted out years ago. I am tossing up whether to swap the diffs as well in case ratios are different but I'd rather not.

Just because you lowered the tyre pressure, doesn't mean it'll drive out...

Sorry, I can't actually make a useful contribution to your thread

Boy do those pics really **** me off.

A classic Landy off the road for good (read: shagged chassis). Most likely do to someone's negligence.

Trust me, it did not drive out, it was lifted!! And for the record, it wont be driving anywhere again, but, it's heart will live on in another....... As well as the spare wheel carrier, the dual tanks, bucket seats, winch, wheels and tyres, most of the passenger side, etc etc.

SUBA, i know what you mean, makes me sad everytime I look at that drivers side, but trust me, the owner was really cut up about it, loved the thing to bits, he is not sure if the handbrake was not engaged properly or just failed but he was doing a favour for someone and just should not have left it running.

    3B powered rover

I would love to see some pics of this conversion and details of how it was done.
These engines are a fantastic thing in a cruiser and would be even better in a landrover!
I remember seeing one similar to this about 15 years ago on the gold coast when I was working for a guy who wrecked series rovers. All I can remember is that the seat box and firewall were very non standard looking sheetmetal.
It was strange to hear a rover with a distinctly toyota diesel sound!

Imagine the grunt with the 13B-T turbo version and 4.7 diff gearing!

    How did it turn out.
My 2a blood box has a b diesel in it. The 3 litre. So prior to 3b.
Has balls. Not bad at all.
Marks adapters conversion to Landy gearbox
