    What engine (Chrysler) is this?

So just rescued a series 2a from a field and I'm trying to figure out what engine it has (is it a hemi?) (as I want to put an original petrol back (which I have access too).

    Any pointers gratefully received!

    Valiant 245 or 265.(hemi)
I think the capacity is printed on the block.

    Definitely a Chrysler/Valiant hemi.
Looks like a 245 to me, the engine number will tell you exactly.

Hemi 6. 215-245-265. The engine no is on the pad where the distributor bolts to the block. The engine no. will reveal all. Best petrol engine conversion ever for LR's. Hard on drivelines if you are fond of a lot of throttle.

Check the number on the dissy pad. It will start with a D. The number after that will tell you the capacity - 1 for 215, 2 for 245 and 3 for 265.
If you tell me the whole number, I can even tell you what it was likely put in originally. I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to Vals...

It just has a 33 below the distributor, 2651 the other side, a number starting A36 and another starting 5F. Any of those help?

The number on the dissy pad should look like this.
The top one has the important bit. The 33 - is the following the d?

    Numbers mean:
    3 - 265
    4 - premium/high performance
3 - had 3 speed manual in the car it was built for.

Just out of curiosity - the final character on the top line should be a letter. What is it?
