I have been told this by both Fergie owners (of which I am one) and Vanguard owners.

My mates S1 is a 1955 107 with a Vanguard 6 in it and is possibly ex DCA.
The differences probably relate to how the engine is mounted in the vehicle, the Fergie block and sump are the backbone of the tractor, with the front axle bolster bolting straight onto the engine. The passenger car engine would not have had the hardware to support the front axle.

No, I haven't seen it yet and it came from out near Bathurst way.

I reiterate, it has a Vanguard 6 in it, not the 4.
