    Stage 1 Isuzu supplement

Would anyone know where I could purchase a stage 1 Isuzu workshop manual supplement. As I am constantly having to work on her to keep her on the road life's getting hard without the supplement.
Also, is the nut at the bottom of the bellhousing behind th sump plug a drain for the gearbox or a drain for the oil leaking out from the main engine seal.

The hole in normal use is left open so any fluids from either the engine, gearbox or from elsewhere in the bell housing can escape - drain out. The screw in plug is normally stored in a threaded receptacle in the bell housing a couple of inches to the left of the hole.

When fording a creek or in other scenarios where water could get into the bell housing you move the plug from its receptacle and screw it into the hole sealing the bell housing. When no longer needed it should be removed and screwed back into the storage position.

Here is a pic of mine - you can see the threaded drain hole and the plug in its storage position.

So leave it here most of the time until needed.

That is a V8 but you should have a similar arrangement.

I am not sure, if it has the Isuzu 4BD1 in it then yes please!
I feel though this is for a series 3 3.9 D Land Rover powered diesel not the Stage 1.

    - Same beast if your stage 1 is a 3.9 isuzu. The series 3 with a V8 or Isuzu was termed a "stage 1"

Thank you for the heads up on the DVD. I have just bought it from the shop and can’t wait to get it. I bought a 1983 Stage 1 with the 3.9 motor and there is so much to learn.

I want to try and add power steering and improve the brakes. If i could do that i would keep the car forever, which won’t be very long as i am getting older, ha ha.
