    P38 oil cooler

    Hi all
    Do you guys have any idea of what a second hand oil cooler is worth? I am looking at fitting onto my disco series I but have no idea what one is worth? I was quoted $390-00 for a second hand one but I think that is a bit high?

    I take it you are speaking of the auto transmission cooler. I picked up one off ebay for less than half of what you have been quoted. My mechanic said that it was a good pick up if it was not full of crap from the donor gearbox disgorging itself into the cooler as it would not do my gearbox any good to get some of that crap into it.

    The other thing you have to be aware of is that you will have to adapt the coupling connectors as at least the D2 ones are not the same as the p38.
