Nice link.
You guys have prob all seen it, but a few yrs ago i was given a program made in the UK called the Birth of a Land rover, basically a guy gets a RR classic, turns it into a 100inch (i think) wheel base awesome Rangie/LR hybrid, rebuilds everything over 2500 man hours in the build i think.
pretty in-depth, nut and bolt build, i still have it if anyone is yet to watch it, best LR dvd ever i would think.

Hey Paul/Andy,
Can you add that winch set up RonRon has to the HRA P38 project list?
AND HERE IT IS IN WRITING: I WILL BUY THE SECOND ONE (GUESSING FIRST IS ALWAYS GONNA BE PAULS!) YOU CAN BUILD/SOURCE!
Think I like his front diff/axle/steering guard too!
Hoo-roo, Dave & pig
There are some clever blokes out there alright. When I swap over my current HRA bar for the newer winch one, I will be fitting a winch and seeing if I can break one of them. Having the winch removable isn't a bad idea though, unless you're in to the "pose value" of having one on all the time, or actually need it.
You're right about the other thing Dave... mine will be first
Cheers, Paul.

Ron B, yep that's the one.
I though it was pretty good, the host Mark Evans, i believe is a Vet, he has done a few of those programs with different vehicles, the LR series is the only one i have seen though.
Is he really?
I just Googled him and, by gum, you're right. See http://www.markevans.co.uk/
He's done a racing car, an aeroplane, an old Harley rebuild, and who know what else. I wish I had his skill.
Late edit: I've just had a better look at his site and I think I'm gunna have to buy some DVDs - he's done a lot more than I knew.

ronald / have his 4x4 is born ,twin dvd set in library .
if you want a lookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk if wondering what it is or what he has done before buying it ,you know were i hide .
I've had an idea about this before. There's a number of winch mounts and winches around to fit into a Hayman Reese hitch. I reckon it would be very handy to have a Hayman Reese in the front somehow (if possible even) - then you could have a single swappable front/rear winch ! It would be removable when not needed too. Having a front winch is all well and good for hills etc ... but when you get stuck somewhere and you need to winch back out its a problem.
I did some tentative inquiries at the local engineers but left it there. Still think it would be a bloody good idea - just need someone to work out the how to stuff![]()
