    Harmon Kardon Speaker refurb

    Hi all,

Found that the Harmon Kardon subwoofers in the P38 had torn the surrounding foam. Just spoke to a mob called speaker works at Concord, $63 each to repair. New 6" subs (if you can get them...) where about $200 upwards. Let you know how they go in a week or so!

Thanks for that, its the actual subwoofers though in the ABS plastic mounting above the CD changer. DIdnt really want to change brand of speakers anyhow becuase im trying to keep things as original as i can (excepting the brake modulator repair and the Bosch Gen III injectors that are still to come next month or so...!)

Sorry I did not register Sub Woofer, even though its there in black and white. Well worth getting the sub up and running, mine had the complete unit missing but I have recently built a box to fit the space with a 10" Sub and a Kenwood amp. Now I can turn the Bass down on the doors and everything is so much clearer with the main bass emitting from the rear.

Just put the subwoofers back in the car after the refurb. Highly recommended. Still better than many stereos available in many new cars!
