Are you sure ? Their website only shows a simple LED (that I can see, may have missed it), no digital display - and only only talks about water temp not block/metal temp which is what the 'engine watchdog' does. If it does both then it would be the most comprehensive/safest system to be sure.

Has anyone use a Scangauge to monitor engine temp. Have been told it may work on a P38 ???. Can someone enlighten me. If so this may be another option

Yes. We were sent a unit that has 3 inputs. One which bolts to the engine block, one that bolts to the transmission housing and one that is an inline coolant sensor in the top radiator hose. It is a combined Engine Saver / Watchdog solution and has the little electronic display in the car where you can constantly monitor the temperature and have the alarm set.
