I did the trip to Sydney from Wagga picking up Paul from Canberra on the way. The purpose was to pickup and install a lift kit and snorkel that i had ordered from Hard Range. Paul had to pickup his rangie and do a few things at the Ebe's. Andy and Paul were keen to test the installation on an earlier model P38 and given that i just bought a 1995 Davis 5.0L it seemed like the perfect opportunity. Pictures of the setup will follow but at this stage i am busy tidying up my previous P38 for sale and tidying the new (older P38) that i just bought.
All i can say is the guys went well beyond the call of duty with the car back on the road after midnight! Lunch, dinner and humour provided by Erich and Sheila and even an offer for sleepover which i would have gladly taken if i didn't have commitments in Wagga. It is people like this that keep the Land Rover community so strong.
As many of you know Hard Range does some great stuff so support them where you can!
Thanks again guys really appreciate the effort.
Cheers,
Remy
^^^ That makes two!!!
That is a real good news story Remy.
I don't know all the guys you mentioned in your story but I have had some dealings with Andy. I can certainly say that he is a great guy and very generous with his time and RR knowledge.![]()
Remy.... I would have hit the "Thanks" button if it was working
It was a pleasure having you and Paul around... you are welcome anytime.
Glad you got home OK...Sheila was really concerned you needed a bit of a sleep here..... but as long as you got home OK, that's good.![]()
The things i do for a carton of beer....
Think I only managed 2.5-3 of those beers, thanks Remy.
Sheila and Erich spoilt us with their hospitality as usual
I got within 50Kms of home and decided to have a kip at a rest stop along Lake George early on Sunday morning. Awoke with the daylight and indicated temp of zero outside. Got home, had a much needed shower and slept until after lunch.
The Blue Hard Rangie is still in the garage waiting for me to solve the riddle of the non-opening passenger door, and empty all the goodies (including a Warn winch) so SWMBO's black Rangie (Rosie the Rangie) can take it's rightful place... the blue one is apparently now an "outside Rangie" and the pretty black one is an "inside Rangie"
Cheers, Paul.
